Virtual Education Redesign

User Research, User Interface, & Frontend Development of the West Hollywood Elementary School website to improve remote learning.

Problem

Remote learning has diminished the supportive physical school environment previously provided to students causing parents to become homeschool teachers causing immense stress for both parents and students.

In additional, student are also constrained in their physical, social, and developmental needs.

Solution

In order to emulate a supportive physical school environment and provide parents some relief, implementing a learning hub will provide additional resources for both parents and students with lesson videos and direct messaging capabilities.

Also in incorporating daily challenges motivated by social sharing, students are provided an outlet for social, physical, and creative needs.

Redesigning a Government Website

User Research & User Interface of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Website to improve public perception by highlighting various agencies and streamlining user flows.

Problem

Redesigning the website for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to unveil the many agencies charged with protecting the American people in such a way as to allow easy & accurate perception.

Solution

A responsive platform that offers users a simpler navigation, conveys DHS’s leadership roles, and operates consistently.

Recycle Mobile App

Researched and designed, with a team, a social events and networking mobile app focused on ways to build better recycling habits.

Problem

Recycling is necessary to protect natural resources and create a sustainable world that future generations can enjoy but it’s hard to find the right information to recycle properly. Also, there’s no sense of community since it’s an individual mundane task and provides no recognition or reward to keep individuals motivated.

Solution

By creating a recycling app that provides useful recycling information, people will be better informed on how to recycle. To make it more fun and motivating, people can join recycling events that fosters a sense of community to earn digital recognition and rewards.

Recycle Mobile App

Researched and designed a travel mobile app aimed at making customized needs-based checklists for people with disability.

Problem

Persons with disabilities do not have any singular resource they can use to plan and manage traveling causing insecurities and anxiety.

Solution

Accessible Travel App helps travelers with disabilities make customized checklists for travel planning. It keeps contacts and records at the ready, helps travelers navigate through airports to find accessible paths, and even tracks and reminds users when to take medication.
